How I Found Ross J. Barr (and Why His Supplements Are Now at GoodGood)

Here’s something I wish more people said out loud: Getting pregnant isn’t always straightforward — or sexy.

It’s rarely the candlelit, effortless montage we’ve seen in films. Sometimes, it’s a spreadsheet. A stack of supplements. A partner gamely drinking maca powder in his morning smoothie (mine didn’t partake but apparently this is a thing!). It’s obsessively tracking symptoms, holding your breath in chemist aisles, and quietly wondering if your body is working with you — or against you.

For me, it started one night — one of many, really — doom-scrolling fertility forums, cross-referencing early pregnancy signs, Googling “Can you feel implantation?” and spiraling into every possible theory about why my body was so… silent.

I had already been diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis — and had surgery for both. So I wasn’t naïve about the road ahead. But still. Life felt stable. We were newly married, in our first home. I was ready. But my body wasn’t budging.

So I did what I always do when I feel stuck:
I turned to research and intuition. And that’s how I found Ross J. Barr.

To be clear, I’ve been an acupuncture girl for years. London, New York, Denver, Boston, Rhode Island — wherever I lived, I found a treatment room. Acupuncture helped me feel grounded, soothed, and in sync with my body. But I always left with a plan — often expensive, always rigid. And while there was nothing inherently wrong with that approach, it didn’t feel personal.

Ross was different.

From the first session, it felt like he saw the whole picture — not just the diagnosis, but me. My day-to-day rhythms. How I moved. How I ate. How I worked. He even asked about my partner and without judgment, gently pointed out that male factor fertility is half the equation and rarely discussed as openly as it should be.

There was no performative wellness, no overwhelm. Just quiet, grounded expertise and a deep, thoughtful curiosity.

We worked together over the course of a few months. Acupuncture, yes, but also subtle shifts in my lifestyle. His now-signature supplement line became part of my routine, and instead of feeling like I was at war with my body, I started to feel supported.

And then… I was pregnant. It still feels surreal. Beautiful. Quietly powerful.

Since then, Ross has remained one of my most trusted practitioners and I’ve become a devoted fan of his formulas. They’re not just well-designed, they’re intentionally made to support real people through real-life transitions. I rarely leave Balham unless I’m catching a flight or heading to Ross’s clinic.

Which is why I’m so proud to share this next chapter: Ross J. Barr’s full supplement line is now available at the GoodGood Wellness Store.

These formulas are clean, potent, and clinic-tested — developed from decades of experience and built for specific phases in women’s health and beyond. No fluff, no filler — just the essentials that work.

Here’s how we’ve curated them at GoodGood:

〰️ Fertility: Supporting both men and women — whether you're TTC, recovering postnatally, or just want to feel hormonally balanced.
〰️ Immunity: Including his game-changing Hay Fever Patches that people rave about every spring.
〰️ Sleep + Calm: For the stressed, the wired, the wide-awake-at-2AM crew (hi, me again). These patches and capsules are a must.
〰️ Aches + Pains: Bone health, joint support, and healing patches that truly do something. There’s even a Patch Pack for when you want to cover all the bases.

These are products I use, trust, and recommend wholeheartedly — not because they’re trendy or pretty (though they are), but because they work. They helped me conceive, recover, regulate, and move forward.

If you’re curious, stop by the studio or browse the Wellness Store online (coming soon). They’re now also part of our GoodGood ritual library — a space for remedies that are smart, effective, and real-life tested.

With love (and better sleep),
Jenna x
