Red Light Vinyasa: What to Know Before Your First Glow Flow Class

Over the last few months, I’ve become quietly obsessed with red light therapy. I’m in my third trimester, and my hormones have been doing all the things—one minute I’m glowing, the next I’m breaking out in the same hormonal patch around my chin that I used to get in my early teens. I started using our red light therapy room regularly—initially just to feel a bit better—and something shifted. The breakouts calmed. My sleep deepened. I started craving it like I do morning movement or sunshine on my skin.

That’s how Glow Flow was born.

We created Glow Flow because we wanted something softer. A class that didn’t push. That met you where you are. That offered you something deeper than another “workout.” Held in our dedicated red light therapy room, Glow Flow is a 45-minute vinyasa sequence that’s about nourishing, not depleting. It’s yoga, yes—but it’s also light medicine. Movement meets repair. Breath meets brightness. It’s our antidote to London’s overstimulation.

What Is Glow Flow, Exactly?

Glow Flow is a gentle vinyasa class practiced in warm red light. We use therapeutic red light panels in the 630–660nm range—these wavelengths have been studied for their effects on cellular regeneration, collagen production, circulation, and even mood. The space itself is dim, womb-like. The sequence is intuitive and fluid. You’ll move, breathe, and soften, all while absorbing light that helps your body repair.

The idea is simple: you bring the movement, we’ll bring the glow.

What Makes Red Light Vinyasa Different?

Glow Flow feels different from the moment you walk in. In a traditional class, heat builds from movement. In this class, the light does the work—stimulating circulation, supporting muscle recovery, and triggering a quiet, grounding warmth across the body.

I’ve been doing this practice daily. Sometimes I move through the sequence, other times I sit in stillness before teaching or between emails. What I’ve found is this: the red light calms me. Deeply. My energy steadies. My skin clears. And my mind—so often racing—starts to soften at the edges.

The Benefits I’ve Seen (and Felt)

The transformation has been physical, hormonal, and emotional.

  • My skin looks better. I had breakouts around my chin, and within days of sitting in red light, the inflammation reduced significantly.

  • My mood lifts. After just 20 minutes, I feel more centred, less reactive. It’s a subtle shift, but it’s real.

  • My sleep is deeper. On the days I practice Glow Flow, I sleep through the night without restlessness.

Some of our instructors have started using the room regularly too—and they’ve seen improvements in menstrual cramping, clearer skin, and more sustained energy throughout the day.

Who Is Glow Flow For?

If you’re overstimulated, depleted, or craving a deeper connection to your body—this is for you. Glow Flow is especially supportive if you’re navigating:

  • Hormonal imbalance or cycle shifts

  • Adrenal fatigue or burnout

  • Digestive sluggishness

  • Low mood or poor sleep

  • Inflammation or recovery from intense training

It’s also beautiful for pregnancy, early postpartum, and anyone looking to cycle-sync their workouts. This is not a performance-based class. It’s a grounding ritual.

What to Wear and Bring

Less is more. The red light is most effective when it hits bare skin, so breathable, minimal clothing is ideal. You won’t sweat like in a hot yoga class, but you’ll feel the deep warmth settle in your body.

Bring a journal if you like to reflect after practice. A water bottle. Maybe an eye mask for savasana. No mirrors, no pressure—just movement, light, and breath.
