About the Instructor: Laura Hayward Alfia

Registered Midwife, Hypnobirthing Practitioner, Antenatal Educator & Postnatal Support Specialist

Laura is a registered midwife, hypnobirthing practitioner, and antenatal educator with a passion for modern, holistic birth support. After years working across high- and low-risk NHS settings — most recently as a core midwife in a London birth centre — she now focuses on private birth work, offering women and birthing people a more personal and empowering experience. Laura holds a First Class Honours Degree in Midwifery from King’s College London and brings a grounded, evidence-based approach to everything she teaches — from hypnobirthing and antenatal education to postnatal debriefs and breastfeeding support.

Since becoming a mother herself in 2024, her work has deepened in both empathy and clarity. She’s passionate about protecting birthing rights, supporting physiological birth and planned C-sections alike, and helping people make informed, confident decisions about their care. Laura also teaches prenatal yoga at GoodGood Yoga, blending mindful movement with her clinical expertise to support women through every stage of pregnancy. Whether through private sessions, group classes or postnatal support, she creates space for women to feel seen, heard — and iconic — in one of life’s most transformational chapters.
